What Etsy actually takes
Every fee on a sale, including the Offsite Ads charge most calculators leave out, so you can see your real take rate instead of the headline 6.5%.
The 6.5% is not what Etsy takes. Most calculators stop at the transaction fee. Once Offsite Ads are in play your real take can land near 18%, and past $10,000 in trailing-year sales you cannot opt out. This one models that, so the number you see is the number you actually keep.
Etsy only charges this on orders that came from an offsite ad click. Your Shop Stats show how many.
Fine tune the fee rates
Processing and regulatory fees vary by country and change over time. These are starting points, not gospel. Check your own Etsy fee page and correct them here.
Same sale, two outcomes
Identical order. The only difference is whether the buyer arrived through an offsite ad.
Where the money goes
On an order that came through an offsite ad.
- Listing feeper listing, renewed on each sale$0.20
- Transaction fee (6.5%)item price plus shipping$1.95
- Payment processing (3% + $0.25)$1.15
- Offsite Ads (15.0%)$4.50
- Total Etsy fees$7.80

Fee rates come from Etsy's published schedule and were correct when this tool was built. Etsy changes them, and processing and regulatory fees differ by country, so treat this as a close estimate rather than an invoice. Nothing you type is sent anywhere, it all runs in your browser.
